Coffee and Cake Morning

Coffee & Cake, organised by the Ladies Fellowship, was on Saturday 9th December 2023.

We had a great time meeting friends, old and new, in the school room, where there were the sale of preserves and cake; a hands--on craft staff for all ages; a prize draw; and, of course, soft drinks; tea; coffee and cake.

The room was dressed out for the festive occasion. The time just flew!

Remembrance Sunday

Sunday 12th November was Remembrance Sunday, with the Ladies Fellowship responsible for leading the worship.

In the event over 900 woollen poppies were on display at the end of the chapel drive.

Thanks are gratefully given to the many friends who helped produce such a mammoth result.

The Ladies' Fellowship Press Apples

This Autumn there seem to be apples everywhere. The Thursday Ladies' Fellowship accepted a kind invitation from Emma Carlyon to prepare and press apples for juice.

The finished product was delicious!

Summer Afternoon Walk

Taking advantage of the fine summer weather, the ladies walked from the Chapel to Twelveheads. There was a stop for tea and cake at Bon Appetit before strolling back to Hicks Mill.

The route took the group through Bissoe Valley Nature Reserve, where the new ponds were glorious in colour. It was a good choice of walk!
